Soave

The Soave area is in the eastern part of Vento. Some of the best white wines are made here. Both the ordinary wines aged in barriques as well as Risciotto.

Type: Nice, full-bodied and sweet dessert wine.
Producent: Tamellini
Year: 2002
Grape: 100% Garganega
Alcoholic content: 13% vol.
Ageing: First the grapes are dried on trays, pressed and aged on small oak barriques and bottle aged for at least 6 months..
Serve with: Chocolate desserts, cake, ice cream, fruits etc.
Only 6000 bottles are produced a year.
Really wonderful dessert wine.
Very pleasant sweetness but fresh at the same time.
At the wine fair, VINIDITALIA 2005, the visitors voted this wine as the best dessert wine.

Type: Nice, full-bodied and lightly sweet white wine.

Year: 2005
Grape: 100% Garganega
Alcoholic content: 13% vol.
Ageing: 4-5 months in steel tanks and bottle aged for at least 1 month.
Serve with: Fish, shrimps, light hors doeuvres, smoked salmon with capers or caviar is some of the best to accompany Tamellini Le Bine. A mild goat cheese is another safe combination that should be tried.
